2021 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe unveiled
December 25 2019,
After introducing a new small SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, Chevrolet turned its attention to its largest sport utility vehicles in December with the introduction of the new 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Completely redesigned, both new SUVs feature a modernized platform and a brand-new diesel engine among the numerous changes made to both full-size vehicles. No longer riding on a solid rear axle, the 2021 Suburban and 2021 Tahoe get a modern adaptive air suspension to improve ride comfort. Both models are more spacious as well with a longer wheelbase and more cargo capacity. The Suburban, for example, now offers over 4,000 litres of total cargo space. That puts it squarely in minivan category when it comes to versatility.
The new platform also lowers the cargo area’s floor for easier loading and improves rear passenger space as well.
Both full-size sport utility vehicles will continue to offer a choice of V8 engines that develop 355 and 420 horsepower respectively. That said, the major change in the engine department is the addition of a new 3.0-litre in-line six diesel with 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This engine should provide impressive towing capacity with low fuel consumption.
Everything has been improved on the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. We will give you more details as we get closer to the summer release date.
